The person behind SoloProHQ
I've been freelancing and consulting independently for years. I know what it's like to be the sales team, the delivery team, and the finance department — all before 9am. SoloProHQ is the resource I built for people like us.
When I went independent, I spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to figure out which tools were actually worth it. Every review I found was either written for teams of 20, or clearly just a sponsored roundup with no real opinion attached.
I needed to know: which CRM actually works for one person managing their own client relationships? Which invoicing tool has the lowest fees when you're billing $10K a month? Which proposal tool makes you look polished without charging $99/month?
I couldn't find a good answer, so I started building one. SoloProHQ is that answer — written specifically for independent professionals who are running every part of their business themselves.
I research tools thoroughly — going beyond the marketing pages and the feature lists. I look at real pricing, real limitations, real integrations. I talk to other freelancers and consultants about what's working for them. And I write about what I find, including the parts that aren't great.
I have affiliate relationships with some of the tools I recommend. That means if you buy something through a link on this site, I may earn a commission. I'm transparent about this — you can read my full disclosure policy — and it never changes what I recommend. If a tool isn't good, I say so.
No fluff, no filler
Every review gets to the point. What it does, what it costs, who it's for, and whether I'd recommend it.
Real opinions
I include the downsides. No tool is perfect and pretending otherwise helps nobody.
Built for solo operators
Every recommendation is filtered through the lens of someone running their business independently — not a team.
Affiliate-neutral ratings
My ratings are never influenced by whether I earn a commission. A bad tool gets a bad review, full stop.
